From the release:

Youth Law Australia is an accredited national community legal service which provides free and confidential legal advice, referrals, representation and education to children and young people up to 24 years old in any area of the law.

Anyone under 25 (or their advocate) can request and receive free and confidential legal assistance through our online service that is available 24/7. We mostly provide assistance by email, in response to enquiries sent through our online form (https://gethelp.yla.org.au/details/tas), but we can also provide telephone or video advice, particularly if a matter is urgent or it's more suitable to give assistance this way.

We are happy to receive warm referrals for legal advice from organisations that work with children and young people, and your organisation can refer any children and young people to our online form (https://gethelp.yla.org.au/details/tas). We also have a lot of legal information on our website (https://yla.org.au/) covering legal issues which children and young people often encounter. This information can also be really useful for people who work with children and young people.

If you would like to find out more about YLA services, please feel free to get in touch with Meredith Hagger at meredith.hagger@yla.org.au or (02) 9067 6516.

I am more than happy to meet with youth organisations and give a presentation about our services, or talk about ways in which we can collaborate to improve access to justice for children and young people in Tasmania. I can also send brochures, posters or cards with information about how to contact Youth Law Australia, and how we can help!
