The Tasmanian Government are seeking expressions of interest for the Regional Recovery Committees.

Apply to join one of three new Regional Recovery Committees and help ensure Tasmania’s recovery from COVID-19 supports the needs of all communities.

Each committee needs:

  • 2 community representatives
  • 1 youth representative aged 18-24 years

These members will work alongside representatives from all levels of government, business and the social sector to identify recovery needs within each region, provide advice to government about recover, and develop locally led, place-based recovery activities.


Anyone impacted by COVID-19 can apply to represent their community on the committee in their home regions – North, North-West or South. Applications are encouraged from women, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people living with a disability, and members of the migrant, multicultural and LGBTIQA+ communities. A Working with Vulnerable People registration will be required. Community representatives will be paid for their work on the committees.
